The name "Brian" is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning "connection*." And that's my passion: connecting people to themselves, each other, and the world around them through captivating works of story, comedy, music, and honesty.
After three years writing cards at Hallmark, I committed to performing and creating arts and entertainment full-time. Since then, I've performed at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Theater Wit, Chicago Theatre Workshop, KC Actors Theatre, The Living Room, The Chicago Musical Theatre Festival and others. I was recently hired for a co-star role on Chicago PD, and have interned at Paskal Rudnicke Casting.
In 2015, I co-founded Friend Dog Studios, an online content brand that has amassed millions of views with dozens of videos, including three viral hits. Friend Dog Studios has been featured on The Washington Post, Snapchat, Huffington Post, Entertainment Weekly, Al Jazeera English, George Takei and more. In that same time, I have worked with my partners at FDS to develop two musicals and a one-act play (The Ballad of Lefty and Crabbe, Milking Christmas, and Hacks) which are all still in development for production and publishing.
